Within the shipping cost of the postal item (without additional charge), the Georgian Post delivers the following types of postal  items  to  addresses on the territory of Georgia for the purpose of their delivery:

      Local postcard, letter (including hybrid one) and small package weighing up to 500g;

Ø       International postcard and letter;

Ø       International registered small package weighing up to 500 g; as well as a small package weighing up to 500 g, the content of which     is a document;

Ø        International EMS postal item;

 Note:  The Georgian Post delivers postal items free of charge by making a single visit to the specified address. If during the visit of the courier no one meets him/her at the address, h/she will leave a notice and in this form inform the customer about the existence of the postal item in his name.

In exchange for an additional fee, the Georgian Post gives the opportunity to the customer to use the additional service "Delivery of a postal item to the address" and request delivery to the address on the territory of Georgia of a postal item of the weight and type that is not subject to free delivery to the address (see above).

Note: the possibility of using the additional service also applies to the postal item, the delivery of which failed during a single visit of the courier to the address. The additional service "Delivery of a postal item to the address" does not apply to the following items:

• The postal item of a simple category, which is not registered in the postal program of the

Georgian Post;

• The postal item subject to customs declaration;

The possibility of using additional services is available for:

• In the case of local postal items - the sender or addressee;

• In the case of international postal item - the addressee.

Note:  Ordering is possible only for postal items weighing less than 20 kg.

Timeframes for completing the order of the additional service:

· With the condition "standard":

v     No later than 2 (two) working days from the date of receipt of the order - within one administrative unit;

v    3 (Three) working days from the date of receipt of the order - within different administrative units,

v    5 (Five) working days from the date of receipt of the order - in a special administrative unit.

 • With the condition "urgent":

v  In the case of receipt of the order before 12:00 - on the same working day;

v  In the case of receipt of the order after 12:00 - until 12:00 of the next working day.

 Note: the service with the condition "urgent" is carried out only within one administrative unit.
